Caesar Yanez of Southern California is an artist – sculptor / painter that takes pleasure in creating realistic sculptures that are embellished with immense detail. In the mid nineties while he free-lanced, Caesar created a bull-baiting sculpture for Dannyquest Designs, the sculpture depicted both the English Bulldog and the Bull Terrier attacking a bull. Both breeds were shown in what was a common event in the 1800's, the ruthlessness of the so-called sport demonstrated man’s disregard for creatures. The barbaric nature of the attacks on poor bull (often restrained) also reveals man's savage nature. Caesar, condemns the savage activities of bull-baiting. He creates his art to educate and express his feelings. Now that Caesar has ventured into the bronze medium (not cold-cast bronze, which is resin mixed with a bronze powder. Many collectors purchase this medium thinking it is the lost-wax process and are disappointed to discover they truly purchased a resin sculpture; hence, due to the foreseeable confusion, Caesar will not cast in cold-cast bronze) for his sculptures, he will create another bull-baiting scene in late 2008 or early 2009. Caesar guarantees this new bronze sculpture will dwarf his first attempt of the bull-baiting sculpture.

This is the (rough) proposed concept for the bull-baiting bronze sculpture. The first bronze casting should be ready by 2009. |
